Pre and Post Waxing Advice

WAXING DO'S

DO moisturize your skin regularly including the bikini and buttock area. Dry skin DOES NOT wax well so remember to moisturize and drink plenty of water

DO make us aware if using Accutane, Retin-A, Differin, Glycolic Acid, Renova, Salicylic Acid, Avage, Avita, Strivectin, Tazorac, Pro-Active, Benzoyl Peroxide or any other topical or oral medications that may effect the outcome of a waxing treatment

DO AVOID caffine and/or alcohol before your waxing appt. They will both cause discomfort that can be easily avoided

DO take some ibuprofen (if you're not allergic) at least 40 minutes before your waxing appt to help with any discomfort

DO exfoliate daily between waxing appointments to prevent ingrown hairs. Exfoliation can be done with either a loofah or body scrub and both should be done gently but firmly. Begin 24 hours after waxing appt!

DO
leave plenty of time before Special Occasions to allow for any unforeseen circumstances i.e. breakouts, illness, etc

DO make us aware if you've had any problems with your waxing treatments in the past

DO not worry about being waxed while pregnant. As long as your OBGYN hasn't diagnosed any concerning health issues, it's okay to wax all the way up to delivery. Be aware, though, pregnancy tends to make the skin more sensitive
