Information for New Clients or Infrequent Waxers
If you have never been waxed or if it has been some time since your last wax, you may experience any of the following:

Waxing can be uncomfortable but it is absolutely bearable. The first wax is usually the most uncomfortable but every appt gets easier due to less hair growth and acclimating to the procedure. Avoid caffine and/or alcohol and take ibuprofen 40 minutes before your appt and that will greatly help

Women: Please note that waxing near or during your cycle can make the procedure more uncomfortable. Your body is more sensitive during this time and appts should be avoided if possible

A  slight rash or bumps may appear. In most cases, this subsides within 24-48 hours. A topical ointment such as hydrocortizone or Benadryl gel will help the irritation subside and heal.

Your skin may not feel totally smooth with the first waxing this is normal!. Depending on the rate of your hair growth, you could feel the next set of growth coming in earlier than expected Your hair grows in three different cycles. Continuous and regular waxing will cause hair to grow in at the same rate. This should occur within 3 to 5 waxes.

If you are planning a special event such as vacation or a special evening, schedule an initial appt about a month before your intended appt. This will give your skin a chance to adjust to the new procedure. During your appointment, you and your esthetician can decide on a waxing schedule that is appropriate for you.

Please know that hair must be at least 1/8 inch to be waxed

Waxing appts should be every 4 to 6 weeks so results will last as long as possible between appts

These guidelines have been set forth so you may receive the most beautiful results possible!
